Executive Addiction Recovery Services
Last updated: October 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Executive Addiction Recovery Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Brian Janes, collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit www.executiveaddictionrecoveryservices.com (the “Site”), use our contact forms, screening tools, or engage with the Strategic Recovery Course and related virtual services offered across Canada and the United States.

We take confidentiality seriously. This notice is tailored to how this Site actually operates. It is provided for informational purposes and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it as a formal legal document.

1. Who we are

Executive Addiction Recovery Services provides private, virtual addiction recovery education and optional counselling-related support for executives and high-performing professionals. Primary contact for privacy questions:

Email: brian@executiveaddictionrecoveryservices.com
Contact form: Contact page

We do not publish a public street address or phone number on this Site. Please use email or the contact form for privacy requests.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Contact and inquiry details you submit through our Fluent Forms contact form or by email (for example, name, email address, and the content of your message).
  • Course and account details if you register for or enrol in the Strategic Recovery Course or related programs. Program registration, account information, and payment details are handled through CoachAccountable (a third-party platform), not through a cart or checkout on this website. We may receive related enrolment or billing identity information as needed to deliver the program; information you choose to provide in the private CoachAccountable dashboard may also be collected there (you may use a display name where the platform allows).
  • Consultation scheduling details if you book a confidential consultation through linked scheduling tools.
  • Technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps, generated by WordPress, Elementor, our hosting environment, and security features.
  • Cookies and similar technologies needed for site operation, security, session management, and (if enabled) limited analytics or performance measurement.

Screening tests: Our Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST), Alcohol Addiction Screening Test (MAST), and Gambling Addiction Screening Test (PGSI) are designed so responses are processed in your browser for self-reflection. As described on those pages, responses are not stored on our servers or linked to your identity through those tools. If you later contact us or enrol in a course and share screening results yourself, that information becomes part of your inquiry or client record.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to confidential inquiries and consultations
  • Provide, administer, and improve the Strategic Recovery Course and optional support
  • Coordinate enrolment and program delivery with CoachAccountable (including payment-related information processed on that platform, not on this Site)
  • Operate, secure, and maintain the Site (including hosting and bot/abuse protection)
  • Comply with applicable legal and professional obligations
  • Communicate about services you request

We do not sell your personal information. This website does not process course or program payments and does not operate an on-site shopping cart or checkout.

4. Forms and email

When you use the Site contact form (Fluent Forms) or email brian@executiveaddictionrecoveryservices.com, we receive the information you choose to send so we can reply confidentially. Please avoid including information you do not want transmitted by email. Form submissions may be processed and stored by WordPress/Fluent Forms and related hosting infrastructure.

If a spam-prevention tool such as reCAPTCHA or similar challenge is enabled on a form or by our host, that provider may collect technical data (for example, IP address and interaction data) under its own privacy terms to distinguish humans from bots.

5. Cookies, analytics, and security

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are typical for a WordPress/Elementor website hosted on SiteGround, including cookies or headers used for:

  • Essential site and session function
  • Security and abuse prevention (including SiteGround challenge/security cookies when triggered)
  • Remembering preferences where applicable

We have not identified a separate third-party marketing analytics pixel as a core feature of the public marketing pages reviewed for this notice. If analytics, advertising, or cookie-consent tools are added or enabled later, this Policy should be updated to name them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect Site functionality.

Course or program payments are processed on CoachAccountable, which may set its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy terms when you use that platform. This website does not process payments and does not use on-site payment session cookies.

6. Third parties and service providers

We use trusted providers to operate the Site and services, which may include:

  • WordPress content management
  • Elementor page building
  • SiteGround hosting and related security/performance services
  • Fluent Forms for contact form processing
  • CoachAccountable for private course/program delivery (dashboard, worksheets, enrolment) and for processing course and program payments — payment is handled on CoachAccountable’s platform, not through a cart, checkout, or payment form on this website
  • Email and scheduling tools used to communicate with you or book consultations
  • Spam/bot protection providers if enabled on forms or at the host level

These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and are expected to protect it appropriately. Their own privacy policies also apply to their processing.

7. Confidentiality and professional context

Privacy and discretion are central to how we describe our services. Information you share in a professional counselling or psychotherapy relationship may also be subject to applicable professional and legal confidentiality rules. This Privacy Policy covers Site and business operations; professional records are handled according to applicable practice standards and law.

This Site is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number).

8. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including responding to inquiries, delivering purchased or enrolled services, meeting legal/accounting requirements, and resolving disputes. Contact-form messages and email correspondence are typically kept for as long as needed to complete follow-up and maintain ordinary business records. Course, enrolment, and payment-related records associated with CoachAccountable are retained for the duration of the program relationship and as required for tax, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance (including records held on that platform under its practices). When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Your privacy rights (Canada / PIPEDA and U.S. notice)

We serve clients virtually across Canada and the United States. For Canadian residents, we handle personal information in a manner intended to align with the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Ask questions about our privacy practices
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing (subject to legal or contractual limits)
  • Request deletion or restriction where applicable law provides that right

U.S. residents may have additional rights under state privacy laws where those laws apply. To exercise a privacy request, email brian@executiveaddictionrecoveryservices.com with enough detail for us to verify and respond. We may need to confirm your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

10. International transfers

Because services and infrastructure may involve providers in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions, your information may be processed outside your home province or country. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the service.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site and services are intended for adults seeking professional recovery support. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or a higher age if required by local law). If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including hosting security controls on this Site. Course and program payments are processed by CoachAccountable (and its payment providers) under that platform’s security practices; we do not collect or store full payment card numbers on this website. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; please use discretion when sharing sensitive details by email or form.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after updates constitutes notice of the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

14. Contact for privacy requests
