Course Format

Lessons

Through a combination of text, video, and illustration, each lesson is presented insightfully and constructively. The first part of each lesson is a reading, introducing the main ideas that will be covered. After that, lessons have several parts, as outlined in the course menu. All of this has been designed to make course navigation and progress clear. I care deeply about you succeeding in your recovery and have built this course to be supportive.

As you work through each lesson, mark parts as complete by clicking/tapping the button at the bottom of the screen. This counts towards the progress tracker at the top left. You can always return to any part of any lesson, even if it’s marked complete.

Assignments

t the end of each lesson, you will be asked to reflect on your personal circumstances through a set of questions relating to that lesson. Your answers to these self-reflection questions will then inform how you complete exercises to round out the lesson. Thoughtful and thorough completion of these assignments will form the foundation of your recovery. Both the self-reflection questions and exercise worksheets are provided for download at the conclusion of each lesson. They are in the PDF file format and are directly editable, meaning you can enter your answers directly on the document. Just a friendly reminder, don’t forget to save your work!

Once you have completed each assignment, send it to me using our secure on-screen uploader. The whole process is simple and will likely be familiar to you. Help is provided in the event you are unfamiliar with the process. As you progress through the course, I will review and offer feedback on everything you upload.

I suggest you complete a lesson every other day, meaning this course will take less than a month. The lessons don’t take much time, but it’s important to not rush through this work. True progress is measured in how much you learn and improve, not how fast you get through it. Take your time and really think about everything you’re about to discover.
